What could be a better tribute to someone you admire than to nominate him or her for such an honor? These are considered the highest of any meritorious degree.

The Doctor of Divinity (h.c.) degree is an award of extraordinarily meritorious service to humanity. The letters "h.c." are the latin abbreviation for honoris causa. Candidates' achievements are examined carefully by a committee. The degree is honorary and does not carry professional privileges. It is awarded by St. James the Elder Theological Seminary.

The same applies to our other honorary degrees: Litt.D., L.L.D, LH.D., and D.Sc. (h.c.)
For help in deciding which degree best suits your candidate, consult Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Cite&page=Honorary_degree&id=149757773

Even though we act promptly, we do put time and effort into the process. In fact, we are required to be meticulous in order for the degree to be respected. For this reason, there is a tax-deductible evaluation fee (donation) requested for those who can afford it. For those who cannot, the fee will be waived.  Email Fr. Ewart at heywardewart@bellsouth.net and convey why it is your nominee qualifies. The suggested tax-deductible donation is $75 (or higher if you are so led). Again, this award is made on merit only, not on the amount of the donation.

When you press the button below, write in the donation amount you choose. Remember, your contribution helps both the Seminary and the new St. James Catholic Charismatic Church, Jacksonville, FL. Further, it contributes to a reserve fund for abuse victims who need treatment but cannot afford help.
